We were originally supposed to go to the Neuschwanstein Castle today. We were going to take the DB Bahn rail train from Vilseck to Nürnberg, then catch another train to where the castle was. By the time we got to Nürnberg we realized the castle would be closed by the time we would arrive. So instead of just going back to the hotel, we decided to check out downtown Nürnberg!

On our way to Nürnberg! |
It was one of the coolest places I had ever seen! They had numerous churches that had the most intricate detailing on the outside, tons of shops and places to eat, and had it's own castle! Unfortunately we didn't realize that everything is closed on Sundays, including all the shops and even the castle! The fact that almost everything was closed turned out to be a good thing, there were less people walking around so it felt more romantic!

This was what the roof of the Nürnberg train station looked like! |

People are allowed to park halfway onto the curbs! |
 |
All the shops were at the bottom of the buildings and above
were the apartments! |

This statue is called The Ship of Fools |

The writing in the front translates to "Violence and
technology and resignation destroy life. Death
laughs mockingly." |

My favorite church so far! Church of our Lady |
